Abstract

Nowadays business process management projects are very strongly focused on methods and software tools for process modelling, change and automatization. On the other hand, the efforts to gain the benefits that can be assessed by using discrete event simulation modeling in business process management projects are still rarely reported. The purpose of this paper is to provide a systematic analysis of research paper in order to shed some light in this area. This literature overview could help academics and business practitioners for the further development of this field.
