Soft skills perception among students: importance and performance

Abstract


„Soft skills“ are based on combination of cognitive and meta-cognitive skills, interpersonal, intellectual and practical values, abilities and skills of a person and usualy combined of numerous experiantal skills that add extra value to the persons kompetitivnes by enreaching synergyc value combined with persons „hard skills“ (knowlage).

In this paper, based on empirical research execute by semi-structured questionaire with 21 criterial variables (soft skills), on engineering students population at Zagrebs Universityat at TTF (N=112), the main results regarding demografic characteristics, their  perception of soft skills importance as general for their future cariere and their own actual soft skills capabilities are presentet.
