Abstract

Cloud infrastructure is very popular among companies that have large business requirements that based on information technology infrastructure. One of the major problems is relatively high price of investment which requires their data centers for continuous work without investments to recovery systems. Reducing risk of data loss costs are relatively high, hence majority of small and midsize businesses decide not to take significant steps for constructing disaster and recovery systems (DR). This work discusses existing solutions and mechanisms to provide continuous work and fast recovery for low tolerance systems. Moreover, this work discusses the cost-effectiveness of utilizing cloud systems as a DR measure against private hot site DR system.
