This paper deals with the role of ICT in Croatian small enterprises. Small enterprises are one of the most important initiators of overall economic development.

ICT plays an important role in the current economy. Small enterprises need to take advantage of the power of ICT in order to take on the competition.

The paper follows the research based on the questionnaire as data gathering method. The paper highlights the number of computers, connection to the Internet, evidence of formal education, financing of education costs, ICT certificates, budget for the investment in ICT, planning of ICT system development, security and prevention of ICT risks, the benefits of ICT use and the obstacles to ITC implementation.
