There has been a tendency these days to reconcile the fact that every employee should have an access to information from any place and at any time, and yet to keep the safety of data unthreatened. In this paper the authors will attempt to offer the best solution to information security when accessing a corporate network. A multicriterial approach will make possible analysis and an optimal choice of today's most frequently used remote access technologies, such as VPN, Remote Desktop Connection and Direct Access to Published Services on Public Network as well as the access via Intelligent Application Gateway 2007. The goal of this analysis is aimed at facilitating and offering to all employees and customers the safest access to data without compromising information security of the mother firm. This analysis will incorporate the use of several authentification methods and with help of AHP method the optimal will be chosen for the implementation.
