Abstract

Learning analytics deals with the data that occurs from students' interaction with ICT: collecting data, analyzing and reporting can influence learning and teaching. Application of learning analytics for analyzing assessment has lagged behind other areas of application. % We argue here for the  need for learning analytics for assessment with special a focus on peer and self-assessment.All forms of assessment should encourage deep learning.   Reliability and validity of peer assessment will be discussed. In this context, a case study will be presented.
