Abstract

The paper presents an overview of research related to the problem of the data warehouse (DW) evolution. Related research can usually be grouped into three approaches - schema evolution, schema versioning and view maintenance. The main contributions of the paper are: a) DW evolution state of the art, and b) critical analysis of existing methods and approaches to the DW schema evolution. Also, general idea and direction for our future work is briefly described.
