Abstract

Description logics, as a knowledge representation formalism used for ontology development in OWL language, enable very expressive domain modeling. This paper investigates to what extent is this expressive power exploited in practice. Research concentrated on DL languages used as well as on types of classes and number of axioms defined was conducted on selected ontologies. Analysis results and suggestions for further research are presented.
