Excursion to Varaždinske toplice - 23/09/2010

• Departure of the group from the Faculty's main building backyard at 4.00 pm
• Bus ride towards Varaždinske Toplice
• On the arrival in Varaždinske Toplice walk through the town and sightseeing of the cultural-historical localities accompanied by licensed tourist guide (in English): LOVRO’S BATH – CONSTATNIN’S HOME – ST. MARTIN’S CHURCHE – OLD TOWN – ST. ANA’S STATUE – FOLK’S BATH – HOLY SPIRIT CHAPLE – ARTIFACTS – AQUA IASAE; one of the most preserved Roman localities in Croatia which owes its long life to the specific conditions of the soil around the hot water spring
• Interesting Roman games with refreshment (Roman scone, Roman vine and jams)
• After the games we will return in the 20th century in the wine yards around Varaždinske Toplice, visit rural household CRNKO II and hear it’s interesting story
• Degustation of Crnko’s wines
• Fine dinner at CRNKO II (traditional meals from Zagorje)
