Abstract

An adaptive urban traffic control system where traffic is captured by video sensors and analized by the real-time traffic control algorithm - CRONOS (ContROl of Networks by Optimization of Switchovers). This advanced ITS solution, detects gridlock situation and extends local traffic controllers clearance time in order to free the intersection center.
