Open access to information resources as support to academic achievement

Abstract
This paper focuses on use of digital information resources by students at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, Croatia. The results of the research indicate maturity in choosing type and source of digital information resources for use in the learning process as well as maturity in assessing quality of these digital information resources. Although digital information resources are available on the internet in large quantities, a special category of information resources open access information resources attracts more and more attention in academic community, especially among students including those participating in this research which is encouraging.
