Abstract

This study examines the influence of some factors in student's environment (at home and at school) on attitudes toward computers in the population that is in a period of formal education. Although today's generation is surrounded by information and communications technology (ICT) from the first day, it still does not mean that they have all the necessary knowledge to use it in the best possible way. In this context, the period of formal education is a key to a better systematization of student's knowledge and their better preparation for the future. Since the attitude towards computers is closely associated with the acquisition of knowledge related to ICT and a positive attitude toward the computer can result in faster adoption of these technologies, the study of this relationship and the factors that influence it can help us in improving our education process.
